The profile and cross section of our FLEX-STAY seat and chain stays follow the idea of a flat spring.
Thanks to the combination of horizontally shaped cross-sections in the middle of the rear-stays and the use of SPECTRA and VECTRAN fibre-material, the rear-frame is able to bend up and down, allowing it to absorb vertical forces much more easily.

As a result, the rear wheel of MERIDA-frames featuring FLEX-STAYS are more stable and predictable in their handling than any conventional frame.
