Even as a prototype the Ninety-Six had won a world championship silver in Cross-Country on its
first outing. The Multivan Merida Biking Team was celebrating and provided our developers important
feedback for further improvements.
Matured to serial production level, it eclipses everything else: most light-weight production-fully
in the world and best bottom bracket stiffness of all carbon suspension frames on the market.

Double Chamber Technology
Reinforcing ribs, running inside the top and down
tube, improve the bending stiffness of the tubes
enormously. Forces which affect the frame over fork
and around the rear-shock are getting optimally absorbed
and diverted.
Structural Element Monocoque
For high loads and maximum security: two separately
manufactured Monocoque-segments cope with
the extensive forces in both the bottom bracket and
steering area effectively. An interior lug-connection
provides, via a large overlap, a powerful connection
of these components in the down tube.
Between the less strained seat- and top tube-node
we use a tube-to-tube connection, being the lightest
bonding technique.
Hi-Tech Material
Our raw materials are the best available and they are
processed with the greatest care. Unidirectional prepregs
made of HM/UHM/IM-fibres are held by the very
latest generation Nano-matrix-resin. Reliably produced
by the best carbon professionals in the bike business.
IMPRESSIVE APPEARANCE
Intelligent form
The design of the Ninety-Six acts consistently in
accordance with the design-fundamental “Form
Follows Function”. For example the bottom bracket
area is supported by the full width of down tube.
The plane form in the steering head area has the
same intention: to share the strengths equally and
to avoid unwanted distortions. Functional design is
also beautiful at the same time – with clean lines
and striking forms.
Maximum Rigidity
The small connecting bridge in-between the seatstays
provides a vast improvement of the rigidity of
the complete rear-frame.
Minimum Weight
The rocker-link completely made of carbon is not
only visually a highlight - it saves precious weight – it
is 36 grams less in comparison to a completely minimized
aluminium link of equal dimensions.
